THETAWAVES :: Painting Daily

I have always painted birds, but egrets have been a special favorite. They inspire painters and photographers alike.
This one is flying over San Jose before it became the Silicon Valley. Before the streets were paved, and the orchards were planted, and the air was clogged with electrical lines. Before the hills were covered with mansions, and the rivers and streams were dammed and diverted. I imagine that the egrets were very happy then, and loved California as much as the rest of us do...
